“Trauma is not just an event that took place in the past; it is also the imprint left by that experience on mind, brain and body.”

This slow, gentle style of yoga will incorporate trauma therapy tools/practices and breathwork to help reset the nervous system and promote deep relaxation.  This class is open to all whether you are healing from trauma or just looking to decompress from stress and anxiety.

BIO: Jacklynne is a licensed psychotherapist and trauma informed yoga instructor. She first fell in love with yoga while studying psychology in Boulder, Colorado during college. It was during this time that her interest in trauma healing and the mind-body connection first began. In 2016, Jacklynne completed her first yoga teacher training in India. After returning home to Los Angeles following her journey in India, Jacklynne followed her heart’s calling to be of service to this world by helping others deepen their connection to their own body, heart, and spirit. She became especially inspired to merge western holistic health modalities with Eastern philosophies such as yoga and meditation. Jacklynne’s yoga practice is informed by her background in clinical psychology and completion of various trainings such as Yoga to Transform Trauma, and Mindful Somatic Healing. Jacklynne believes yoga is a vehicle that can allow us to tap into our own innate capacity to heal. She has also completed 250 hours of training with Govind Das at Bhakti Yoga Shala, including Bhakti Vinyasa and Yin and Restorative Yoga.
